yesterday, Raul Alfonsin, former president of argentina; from 1983 to 1989, died at 2030 BA time, as his medic, DR alberto sandler informed. alfonsin had been the first democratic president we had after so many years of constitutional inestability. our country lost a man like no other. honesty, humilty, persistency, only some of his virtues. He had the courague to confront all of the situations we inherated from the military dictaroship. social inestability, internal crisis, human rights, 30.000 banished people during the junta times. in 1985 he showed the world that we weren't to forget those bad times, in an historical event, the nation jugded and punished the responsables of the darker times of argentinian history, the leaders of the military junta whom killed and tortured over 30.000 people, mostly political activists. maybe he couldn't prevent the bad times we had before the end of the end of his goverment, but he fought it out better than anyone else we could have choosen. I wonder the day when all of what you desired, and demonstrated by phrases like "with democracy we eat, we heal and we educate", becomes truth. now he's resting in heaven, adonai decided it was his time to rest after so many years of fight. Z'L Raul alfonsin. 1927-2009.
well, I'm just saying I'll be on but not as I use to, I'll be on but I won't be able to make any submission till further advice, I am not allowed to do a thing and even the pictures I take are restringed. I can't even tell my real location by now and well I just hope things to turn out just fine. missing family friends home? not at all, I'm not the kind of sentimental guy, instead I can deal with that pretty well. what do I miss? hmm... maybe having breackfast in the two lions café, in front of the pink house in buenos aires, nothing else. if I'm alive I'll post a new journal on next wednesday.
